The mobile Smart Cart™ puts patient safety first by reducing human error and closing the loop of safe medication administration.
Integrating a user-friendly 17” touch screen and bar code technology, this unit communicates with the Computerized Medication Cabinet. The Cart features as many as 24 patient-specific drawers. The drawers come in two sizes: standard and large.
The ergonomics of the SmartCart help make it useful
for various hospital applications. It is height adjustable, has a large work surface
and places for clipsboards and sharps bins. It comes standard with;
• Open architecture for multiple eMAR platforms
• Wireless (WiFi & Bluetooth)
• Barcode reader
• Biometric reader for user identification
The SmartCart is a key in closing the loop of any medication dispensing system. It will run any HIS providers Bedside solution.
At the point of care, the nurse scans the patient's bar-coded wristband to verify his or her identity. The mobile cart then displays the patient's information and prescribing orders and automatically opens the patient’s drawer. All relevant information during administration, including patient vital signs, can be logged and recorded.
The SmartCart can also be used as a medication transfer cart between Pharmacy and the hospitals medication dispensing system or other storage area. Some will find it useful as a 24 hour cart in other applications. With the Smart Cart, you can administer medications accurately, efficiently and with unparalleled confidence.
